The weight distribution of the course components is as follows:

• A1: 10% (Alarm: context diagram, R/E descriptions, module specifications and tabular expressions). Done in groups of 2 or less.
  • Due date: Friday September 28th, 11am.
• A2: 2.5% (Dell Keyboard function table). In groups of 2 or less.
  • Due date: Thursday 11 October, 11am
• A3: 7.5% (UML)
  • Due date: 5 November, 11am (sharp)
• A4: 4% (TTM Bridge Controller). Due date: Friday November 16, 11am (sharp)
• A5: 6% (TTM Alarm System)
  • Due date: 11am, Dec. 5, 2011. (Can be submitted up to 11am on Dec 10 without penalty).
• Project: 25% total, broken down into 5% and 20%. Team of 2 members.
  • Due date Phase 1 (5%): Monday Nov. 19, 2012, 11am (sharp)
  • Due date Phase 2 (20%): Monday, Dec. 3, 2012 11am (sharp)

You have two weeks from the time grades are released on ePost to ask for your grading unit (Project or Assignment) to be marked again. Within the two week period submit your grading unit to the instructor and attach to it a document describing your precise concerns. This will be returned to our TA, Simon Hudon. Once he has had a chance to review your concerns, he will inform you of the results. Once you have handed in the paper version you may email him for a meeting as well.

For each grading unit you are assigned a raw mark score that ranks you in the class. Also, you will be provided with a mapping from your raw mark score to a letter grade. The raw mark score is not a grade as it is merely used to rank you in the class (so, e.g. a raw mark score of 76 might be a C, not a B+, after the mapping is applied). The mapping will be supplied to you at the same time that your assignment is handed back to you. The final grade is computed from the raw mark scores and maps as shown here.

You must complete and hand in the project to obtain a grade for the course.

Missing an Assignment will result in a score of zero – unless the official York attending physician's statement is filled out and submitted by the due date of the assignment. With the official physician's statement, you will be awarded a letter grade for the missed component equal to the grade you obtain on the Exam
